Montepulciano


This Italian red grape is widely planted throughout central and southern Italy, but NOT in Tuscany, for the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano wine, named after the town of Montepulciano. The Montepulciano grape is the primary variety of Offida Rosso, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, and Rosso Piceno, and is found in 20 of Italy’s 95 provinces.
